Why do we give free meals?

Many people are surprised to learn that our annual community Thanksgiving lunch is free. And what surprises them more is that we want them to take more than one. We encourage you to take a few extra and give them to people who you know need a lift. It's not so much about the meal and feeding someone's stomach as it is about feeding their soul.



All we ask is that when you give someone else a meal, you let them know that Jesus loves them and that you love them and that the Marching For Jesus Ministries loves them.



It's about sharing something with someone and touching their heart with little kindness and compassion. You may be the only Jesus someone ever sees.



Wouldn't it be great if someone received salvation because you took a few extra minutes and dropped off some turkey and dressing to someone in your neighborhood. They might not even need the meal, but we're sure they need the blessing.



So make plans to come to our community meal, and call ahead and reserve a few extra dinners so you can take them back into your own community and share God's love with someone else.
